Can you recommend a classical Japanese literature or autobiographical interesting?
I am particularly looking for autobiographies historical, folklore and classic novels. I am interested in folklore, which explains the origin of things referred to many anime and films (folklore knowledge common to a native of Japan). My history teacher has also proposed a book, but I do not remember his name. He a traveling monk who had disguised himself as a woman to escape capture or something. Anyway, all suggest would be very appreciated.Here a list of books I've read that might help to put in the good sense of what I'm wanting.
